LIVERPOOL reportedly missed out on signing Benfica wonderkid Diego Moreira after his family “hesitated” over their offer.
A Bola claims the winger, 17, was approached by the Reds in 2020 when he was an academy player at Belgian side Standard Liege.

And while the forward himself was tempted to join Liverpool, his family were slightly more cautious.
Benfica also put forward an offer to sign Moreira for their youth team at the same time.
And after his family “hesitated” while weighing up the risks of joining an illustrious side like Liverpool, they instead persuaded Moreira to take the more sensible route with Benfica.

But the Reds could yet reignite their interest as Klopp looks to invest in top youth signings.
Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham in 2019 when he was just 16 years old, with the winger quickly becoming the youngest-ever player to start a competitive game for the Reds.
The Reds are also understood to have raided Fulham yet again, this time for 19-year-old Fabio Carvalho.
