It wasn’t long before Big Sam found himself posing in front of cameras after arriving at the racecourse.

But the paparazzi weren’t there for the former Three Lions boss.

They were for Princess Beatrice, who was at the races with her husband Edoardo Mozzi.

Allardyce was completely oblivious to the fact the photographers were trying to snap the royal couple and stood in front of them and posed for snaps.

Thankfully, Beatrice – the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sara Ferguson – and Mozzi saw the funny side and chuckled away at the confusion.

Photos of the hilarious moment went viral and were quickly commented on by footie and racing fans alike.

One wrote: “BIG SAM.”

Another said: “Looks like Beatrice is photobombing Big Sam to be fair.”

Another joked: “She got in his picture… get it correct!”

Allardyce, 69, has been out of management since his 30-day stint with Leeds United last season, which made him the shortest-ever serving boss in Premier League history.

He’s keen to get back into management and recently put himself forward for the vacant Republic of Ireland job.
