Arsenal star Granit Xhaka facing up to EIGHT weeks out after being fitted with knee brace following Tottenham injury

He went down after accidentally being clattered by Spurs star Lucas Moura in the last few minutes.

The Switzerland international was looked over by medics at the Emirates and by club physios yesterday.

He has now been spotted wearing the brace after his wife Leonita posted a picture on Instagram with their young daughter.

It is not known how long the 29-year-old will be out of action for but it is suspected to be around six to eight weeks, according to reports.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta feared the worst for the ex-Basel ace at the weekend.

He said after the Tottenham match: “Unfortunately he got injury and I’m pretty worried.

“It doesn’t look very positive at the moment.”

Xhaka made a fine return to action against Tottenham following a three match ban.

He was sensational in midfield as the Gunners romped to an emphatic win in front of a sold-out Emirates.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach had been banned after a red card against Manchester City earlier this season.

Arsenal got off to a shocking start to their Premier League campaign with three losses in a row.

Arteta’s side were beaten by newboys Brentford and then thumped by Chelsea and City.

But three wins in a row – including two 1-0 victories over Norwich and Burnley – have eased the pressure.

Mikel Arteta says he is pretty worried after Granit Xhaka injury but says it was the right call to play him
