Tommy Fury set to take on Jake Paul in £1m grudge match this December as Frank Warren confirms talks almost complete

TOMMY FURY is finally set to take on rival Jake Paul this December in a huge £1m-PLUS grudge match.

The Love Island star and YouTuber have been embroiled in a bitter war-of-words over the last year.

Talks over a fight have been ongoing for a number of months, after the pair clashed backstage in August after Paul’s win over Tyron Woodley.

And Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed a deal for them to collide in December is almost done.

He hopes the contracts will be sealed by the end of this week in a huge PPV battle on BT Sport.

Warren told IFL TV: “At the moment we’re working through the terms, we’re quite close and I’m hoping we can get it over the line.

“It’s a great fight for Tommy. It’s a very lucrative fight for him. Financially how can you not turn that down.

“I think he wins it. It’s captured everyone’s imagination, it’s all they were talking about out in the States.

“Hopefully we’ll finish it off this week and we can move forward.

BITTER GRUDGE MATCH

“It’ll be in late November, December.”

Fury had originally rejected a $1m-plus offer to take on his rival in the US later this year.

But the 22-year-old – with an unbeaten 7-0 record – is understood to be open to the idea ending their feud in the ring.

Last month he claimed a bout with the 4-0 American – a former Disney star – was “not worth talking about”.

He added on Instagram: “I just wanted to come on here and address a few things that Jake Paul has been saying that I have denied two offers to fight him.

“That is true, as those offers weren’t even worth addressing, and now he has come out and said that he wants to give me a $1m to fight him and I just want to say this.

“To everybody out there, $1m for a fight of this magnitude is not even worth getting out of bed for, this fight is going to gross millions and millions of pounds.

“I cannot walk down the street without anybody asking me when are you fighting Jake Paul, so until you want to make a serious offer and put it on the table, we can’t think about fighting pal.”
