Watch Carragher hilariously ‘translate’ Lewandowski’s Polish interview… claiming he hit out at Klopp and Lukaku

JAMIE CARRAGHER put his school Polish lessons to good use when he hilariously tried to translate Robert Lewandowski’s post-match interview.

The former Liverpool centre-back was working as a Champions League final pundit and joked that the Bayern striker hit out at Jurgen Klopp and said he was better than Romelu Lukaku.

Kingsley Coman’s second-half header was enough to separate the teams in Lisbon.

And Bayern’s star striker was ecstatic after the final whistle.

Carragher was working as a pundit for American network CBS when presenter Kate Abdo asked him him about his Polish lessons at school.

The 42-year-old insisted he only “took” Polish rather than actually “learned” it but agreed to give the translation a crack nonetheless.

Lewandowski could be heard talking to an interviewer in his native language.

And back in the studio, Carragher “translated”: “Best feeling of his life.

“Can’t believe it’s happened after losing the last final. This time he’s won it.

“He blames Klopp for that. Just disappointed he never got on the scoresheet, he feels that may have got him the Ballon d’Or, something he missed out on.

“I think this proves I am the best number nine and not Lukaku.”

On hearing the last sentence, his fellow studio guests – including Lukaku’s Belgium manager Roberto Martinez – burst into laughter.

Martinez chipped in and said: “He was convincing up to that point.”

Lewandowski was later pictured in bed with the Champions League trophy.

And the images came after Bayern’s players and Wags partied into the night after winning the clubs sixth European Cup.

Bayern’s ecstatic celebrations were in stark contrast to PSG’s post-match reactions.

Former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera said it was “s***” in his x-rated post-match rant.

And Brazilian forward Neymar was pictured in floods of tears after the final whistle.
