He was pictured surrounded by his team-mates in their blue Wycombe tops.

While he was in the famous red Liverpool shirt.

Akinfenwa then joked he had already paid his boss, Gareth Ainsworth, the fine – but stopped short of revealing how much it was.

He videoed the scene and put it on his Instagram feed.

The 38-year-old ex-Millwall, Northampton, Gillingham, Swansea and AFC Wimbledon striker, who has considered a career in WWE, posted: “Only time I’ve been happy to pay a club fine.

“I’m happily going to take the fine.

“I’ve already paid my gaffer, he knows.

“There’s a lot of hate I’m getting today, a lot of hate! But it’s cool, I’ll take it!”

Akinfenwa famously joked that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp should sign him.

The Merseysiders wrapped up the title when rivals Manchester City lost to Chelsea on Thursday.

It had been a long wait since Akinfenwa was a boy but the Londoner certainly felt it was worth it.

Jurgen Klopp says he is overwhelmed with Liverpool winning the Premier League and pays tribute to staff and players
