This weekend represents another chance for Hamilton, 35, to stretch his World Championship lead after racing to victory in Tuscany a fortnight ago.

The Mercedes star certainly enjoyed his time in northern Italy, winning one of two races taking place in the region and indulging his love of fashion.

Pictures of Hamilton in a matching chequered shirt, shorts and hat combo were posted on his Instagram account.

Milanese fashion brand MSGM were behind that ensemble, shown off by the Brit as he scootered around Mugello.

The shoot even drew a cheeky jibe from Kimi Raikkonen, who poked fun at Hamilton for being a very different kind of celebrity than what F1 used to be known for.

The origin of Hamilton’s latest get-up is unknown, as well as the woman who appears on the front of it.

Fans have certainly not seen the last of his fashionista threads, with a partnership with Tommy Hilfiger just one example of his love for the industry.

Hamilton arrived in Sochi aiming for his third-straight Russian Grand Prix win.

With a 55-point lead over Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas, the chances of a record-equalling seventh career world title appear high.

Throughout the season, Hamilton has made an increased stand against racial injustice.

T-shirts bearing Black Lives Matter and Justice for Breonna Taylor slogans have been regularly donned by the driver.

Earlier this week, he was named among TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.
