Watch as David Haye uses son Cassius as a human dumbbell in workout as pair stay ripped training at home

DAVID HAYE used his son Cassius as a human dumbbell in a home workout as the pair stay in shape amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The former heavyweight champion has been posting a series of clips online training with his son, even using 11-year-old Cassius as a weight.

In his latest session, Haye explains how to use a “little one” during a leg workout, as he demonstrates different types of squats while lifting Cassius.

He said: “So ladies and gentleman, after our garden workout a few days ago, people have been really enjoying it.

“But a lot of females in particularly said we wanna know how to do a similar workout with the little one, carrying them, using them as the weight, for the lower body.

“So, we’re going to do some lower body stuff. All the squats we are going to be doing today, so enjoy.”

In the one minute clip Haye – who retired in 2o18 after losing to Tony Bellew for a second time – performs split, sumo and front squats as well as walking lunges.

Haye Jr was named after the great Muhammad Ali, who Haye Sr followed into the sport of boxing.

But Cassius isn’t set to follow in his dad’s footsteps as he is a promising tennis player at U12 level.

He has even played on the hallowed turf at Wimbledon, with Haye, his mother and his ex-wife Natasha cheering him on in a junior tournament back in 2018.

The youngster trains for eight hours a week and has been competing since he was four, with his dad recently helping his son stay in shape during isolation.

Haye is not the only heavyweight treating fans to online workouts, as Tyson Fury regularly streams live sessions alongside his wife Paris on his Instagram.

Half-brother Tommy joined in with girlfriend Molly-Mae, while ex-champion Joseph Parker also got involved with his partner.

However, Fury’s fellow heavyweight king Anthony Joshua ignored the Gypsy King’s online call out.
