Tyson Fury comes into Deontay Wilder rematch as favourite after stunning performance in first fight

TYSON FURY is the bookies favourite to knock Deontay Wilder off his throne ahead of their WBC title match-up.

The two heavyweight giants confirmed they will step back into the ring for their hugely-anticipated rematch on February 22 under the lights in Las Vegas.

Fury, 31, will aim to claim Wilder’s heavyweight crown 14 months after many thought he deserved to win in the duo’s first scrap.

The Gypsy King sensationally climbed off the canvas in the last round but the judges controversially deemed their match-up a draw.

With another two fights under his belt following his comeback to the sport, the bookmakers believe Fury will pull off a historic win at the MGM Grand.

Betfair have Fury odds on at 4/6 to win the fight outright with Wilder 11/10 and the draw 25/1.

Fury to win by decision or technical decision is a tempting 11/8 while he is 4/1 for the knockout.

Those fancying Wilder to win by knockout can get odds of 13/8.

Fury’s new trainer has no doubt that he’ll come out on top and insists he has the tools to help get the job done.

Javan ‘Sugar’ Hill has taken over trainer duties from Ben Davison to help prepare for February’s showdown.

Speaking to World Boxing News, Hill said: “I’m excited about it. Tyson has to be busier in this fight and more accurate. That’s pretty much it. The last time it was a close fight.

“I have to wait until we get to training camp. To see if there are other things that need to be worked on.

“But I like to fine-tune my guys and make sure they’re very technically sound. We go from there.

“Right now, Tyson just has to be busier. And for one thing, be alert. He’s got to be very, very alert.”
